Getting started
Import your listings
Pull your existing active listings in so Reskale knows what you already sell.
Import pulls the listings you already have live into Reskale, so the app starts from your real inventory instead of an empty table.
Do it once per marketplace after connecting, then again whenever you have listed a batch outside Reskale.
Run an import
Go to Settings → Connections and press Import now under a connected marketplace.
A large closet takes a few minutes. The import runs server-side, so you can leave the page — but keep the browser open for Mercari, Depop and Vinted, whose imports run through the extension.
Progress and the final count appear under the button.
What comes in
For each active listing Reskale stores what that marketplace exposes:
- Title and description
- Photos
- Price
- Condition
- Brand, size, colour and category where available
- The marketplace's own listing ID, which is what later lets Reskale delist or update it
What arrives varies by marketplace. eBay returns rich item specifics; Vinted returns a leaner record. Anything missing can be filled in on the item in Reskale, and doing so improves every future crosspost of that item.
Some marketplaces only expose the full detail on the individual listing page, not the grid. Those imports run a second pass per item, which is why an import of 200 items takes longer than one of 20.
What does not come in
- Sold and ended listings. Import is about what is live now. Past sales arrive through sync, which is a separate mechanism, and they populate Sales.
- Drafts.
- Listings in a marketplace's own bulk-edit or scheduled state.
Importing from CSV
Inventory → Import accepts an eBay-style CSV export. Useful when you have a spreadsheet of stock that is not live anywhere yet, or when you are moving off another tool.
CSV import creates inventory records. It does not create listings anywhere — crosspost them afterwards.
Running import again
Safe, and expected. Re-importing:
- Adds listings that are new since last time.
- Updates ones that changed.
- Does not duplicate anything it has seen before — items are matched on the marketplace's listing ID.
What it does not do is delete. A listing that ended on the marketplace stays in your Reskale inventory until you remove it or a sale is matched to it. That is deliberate: silently deleting rows because one API call came back short is how a tool erases a seller's history.
Duplicates
If the same physical item was listed separately on two marketplaces, import brings in two records, because that is what it found — two listings, no shared identifier.
Inventory → Duplicates finds those pairs and merges them into one item with two marketplace listings attached. Worth running once after your first import.
Merging matters beyond tidiness: auto-delist can only pull a sibling listing down if it knows the two listings are the same item.
Adopting a listing you posted by hand
Listed something directly on a marketplace and want Reskale to manage it? Open the item in Reskale, choose Link existing listing, and pick it from that marketplace.
This links only. It never creates a listing, and it never edits the one you picked.
